Menopause sneaks up on you. For me it was subtle at first. Irregular periods – then later, severe sweating – at first only during the day and then, sometime later, both day and night.

It was like a radiating heater turned on inside of me, flushing my face and drenching my neck, and my whole body with floods of wetness and lasting for several minutes. I discovered the meaning of hot flash in no uncertain terms.
