At first I just had night sweats that caused me
to lose a lot of sleep and then killer hot flashes. I talked to my husband about
everything I was going through and why. This helped him to understand just what
I was going through. He seemed to appreciate that I was keeping him informed and
involved. I really believe that talking to your family and friends and co-workers
when appropriate is one of the best things you can do. They can then be very supportive
and don't get hurt or angry when you are at your worst. Attitude is also very
important. I believe that since menopause is a natural happening you should try
to just take one day at a time. A sense of humor helps too. I work in an office
with one other person and sometimes the office is hot and sometimes it is me. I
just ask her if I'm flushing or is it hot in here. We both get a laugh out of
it and believe it or not most of the time it's the office.
Promensil has been a great help. The night sweats eased up considerably and the hot
flashes went from hard to easy. I would say that after about two months I was almost
my old self. Now I only get a hot flash a couple times a month and the night sweats
have almost stopped all together. I recommend Promensil to every woman I talk to
who mentions that they are having symptoms of oncoming menopause.
